Beginning this week, motorists traveling on US Highway 85 will be detoured onto a temporary paved roadway about 2.5 miles west of Watford City. The 1.5 mile temporary route is located near the highway which is under construction. This is part of the Southwest Watford City Bypass project and is expected to be complete this fall.

During construction:

•           Speeds will be reduced

•           Traffic will be detoured

•          A 12-foot width restriction will be in place

The detour route will be in place during construction of the bypass.
