Williston NE TRR Handout
Project Description
Beginning during the 2016 construction season, a new Williston Northeast Truck Reliever Route is proposed. Public information meetings and public comment periods will be held to obtain public input about the proposed new project.
The purpose of the proposed project is to alleviate truck traffic within the city of Williston by connecting ND 1804 on the east side of the city to US 2/85 and also to the Williston Northwest Truck Reliever Route. Connection to the Williston Northwest Truck Reliever Route would create a full truck reliever route around the city for better overall transportation system linkage. A truck reliever route would require a high speed, limited access roadway with capacity to accommodate existing and future traffic demand, while maintaining compatibility with local land use and economic development plans that consider future growth.
Plans include the completion of the environmental clearance process in the fall of 2015. Motorists should review the attached Public Input Meeting handout for more information about the proposed project.
