Project Description
The Alexander Bypass project is a new project under construction in 2014. There will be minimal impacts to local traffic during construction of the bypass this summer. The new bypass will alleviate congestion in the area by providing a route around downtown Alexander for trucks and easing truck traffic in the local community. This project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2014.
The completed project will be built to accommodate four lanes of traffic and will be approximately 3.7 miles long.
Each day, approximately 12,000 vehicles travel through Alexander, many of which are trucks.
