Keene Roundabout and Improvements
This project is already underway and includes the creation of a new roundabout at the intersection ND Highway 23 and County Road 10 near Keene as well as grading and paving work on the roadways surrounding the project. The project is expected to be completed in 2016 and spans approximately 7 miles.
Current Project Status
Motorists traveling on ND 23 north of Keene will be temporarily detoured for a short distance due to a construction project at Keene Corner. The temporary route is located on Highway 23 where it intersects with County Road 55 and will continue to where it intersects with County Road 10.
A detour is in place and traffic speeds are reduced. Eastbound traffic should follow County Road 55 north to the intersection of County Road 10. At the intersection, traffic will turn onto County Road 10 and proceed east to Highway 23. Westbound traffic should follow County Road 10 until the intersection of County Road 55, the proceed south on County Road 55 to Highway 23.
During construction:
- Speeds have been reduced to 25 mph though the construction zone
- Traffic control is in place
- Traffic is being detoured
The detour is expected to be in place until later this week. The project is expected to be complete in October 2016.
